December 03, Friday: The 36th Annual “The Almost Christmas Concert” will be presented by Pierce Pettis and Del Suggs at 8:00 PM. Tickets are $22.00 - 27.00. Audience members are asked to bring a non-perishable food donation for ECHO.

Coffee and Connections at Domi Station begins at 8:00 AM.

Gary Farr and His All-Star Big Band will perform at Southwood Golf Club beginning at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $28.00 - 38.00.

Tab Benoit’s Swampland Jam, featuring Big Chief Monk Bodreaux, Johnny Sansone, and Waylon Thibodeaux, and the Samantha Fish Band. They will perform at The Moon at 7:15 PM (doors open at 6:30 PM), Tickets are $32.00 - 55.00.

Camellia Christmas, at Alfred B. Maclay Gardens, begins at 6:00 PM. There will be live music, food, and drinks. Admission is free, but donations to the park’s maintenance are appreciated.

Craig Pittman is doing a book signing at Midtown Reader at 7:00 PM.

The first performance of a three-day showcase of The Bardlings begins tonight at 7:00 PM at Making Pictures. They will be performing “Zombie Shakespeare.” Ticket prices vary.

First Friday is occurring at Railroad Square Art District beginning at 6:00 PM.

Movie Night at the Ballpark features a showing of Black Widow at Mike Martin Field. It begins at 7:00 PM with tickets for $10-125.

Top Shelf Band will be performing at Island Wing Company beginning at 7:00 PM.

Bannerman Crossing is starting up their “Holiday Festivities.” There will be live music, food, drinks, axe throwing, Santa, “snow”, llamas, and face painting.

First Friday will also be occurring at Thomasville, Georgia. Many businesses on/off Broad Street will be staying open allowing visitors to partake in the “sip and shop” program the City of Thomasville allows.

December 04, Saturday: Cap City Video Lounge is showing The Transformers: The Movie. It will start at 3 PM. Tickets are $5.00 and concessions are available for purchase.

The Handmade Holiclays Pottery Market will at 9:00 AM at 1816 Mahan Drive. There will be 21 local artists selling their handmade wares just intime for Holiday shopping.

Big Bend’s Heart Walk will occur at 7:30 AM at Summit East Technology Park.

The December Flea at Happy Motoring begins at noon and ends at 3:00 PM.

The Winter Festival is occurring!

Market Days begins at North Floria Fair Grounds

Yoga at the Park will occur at 12:00 PM at Optimist Park.

The Grove Museum will have its Winter Open House at 10:00 AM.

FSU’s Men’s Basketball is playing against Syracuse Orange Men’s Basketball. Tickets are available and the game begins at 4:00 PM.

The Holiday Drag Show at the Bark will occur at 10:30 PM. Tickets cost $10.00.

Operation Christmas Tree will be at the Huey Helicopter at Lake Ella starting at 9:00 AM. This is for veterans.

December Skies over Tallahassee begins at 10:00 AM at the Challenger Learning Center. Admission is free.

December 05, Sunday: Journey to Emancipation - Statewide History Conference begins at 8:00 PM at the AC Hotel Marriot. Conference registration is $200.

FSU’s Women’s Basketball is playing against Charleston Southern at 2:00 PM. Tickets are $6.00.

This is the last day of Market Days at the North Florida Fair Grounds.

 

December 06, Monday: TCC’s Capital City Band will perform at the Tallahassee Senior Center for the Arts. Their concert will benefit Tallahassee Senior Center and will begin at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $5.00.

Jazz on the Patio at Hotel Indigo begins at 6:00 PM.

December 07, Tuesday: WTS’ Florida’s Capital Area Chapter is hosting their Gala-lite at Proof Brewing Company. Tickets are $10.00 - 15.00.

Tallahassee Garden Club and Goodwood Museum is hosting the “Make and Take Workshop.” Paying either $30.00 or $45.00, participants can make one of two designs. All materials are provided.

December 08, Wednesday: Reese Cloud Quartet is performing at Signature Lounge at 8:00 PM (doors open at 7:30 PM). Tickets are $15.00.

Cap City Video Lounge is showing Kids in the Hall at 8:00 PM. Tickets are $5.00.

December 09, Thursday: The start of the Victorian Christmas celebration in Thomasville, Georgia begins tonight. It goes until Friday, December 10 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.

Mike Martin is having a book launch party at Hearth and Soul beginning at 5:00 PM.

Opening Nights is presenting Sons of Mystro at Opperman Music Hall. Tickets are $40.00.

The Barbershop Harmony Holiday begins at 7:00 PM at the Tallahassee Senior Center for the Arts. This is a free concert, but all donations go towards the college students who perform.

December 10, Friday: Jimmy Lohman is performing at the Blue Tavern at 8:00 PM. Admission is $5.00.

The Monticello Dance Company is performing ‘Holly Jolly Christmas’ at the Monticello Opera House. Tickets are $12.00 - $17.00.

The Ballet Arts Conservatory of Tallahassee and the Capital City Festival Ballet is performing “A Few of My Favorite Things.” This will be at the Lincoln High Auditorium at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $20.00 - $40.00.

December 11, Saturday: Hot Tamale will perform at the Holiday Stroll through Cascades beginning at 6:00 PM. This is a free event.

Cirque de Noe. a performance from the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra and several acrobats, will start at 2:30 PM and 8:00 PM at Ruby Diamond Concert Hall. There are several different ticket options, including a virtual stream.

LeMoyne Art’s Gallery is hosting a Roaring 20s Cocktail Party. This is the annual Holiday Show, with a new fun theme. There will be jazz and ragtime music, signature cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and shopping! Music will also be performed by The Lucecitas Jazz Trio. Tickets are $15.00 - 20.00.

The Museum of Florida History is hosting an event on Mary McLeod Bethune. This is a free event and begins at 11:00 AM.

Santa Paws Walk at Lake Ella begins at 10:00 AM.

Two Ugly Sweater Parties are happening this Saturday. One is at Over/Under beginning early at 4:00 PM. The second is at Brass Tap beginning at 7:00 PM.

December 12, Sunday: Snow Day on the Patio benefiting Toys for Tots. This is at Heath and Soul beginning at 11:00 AM. Toy donations are being collected and a special candle benefiting Toys for Tots is for sale. Kids activities and a winter photo backdrop is available.

Vonzel DeSean performs at the American Legion Hall at 6:30 PM. He’ll perform several of his songs from his upcoming EP, “A Song in the Air.” Tickets are $20.00 - 45.00.

 

December 13, Monday: The hybrid meeting of The Compassionate Friends (TCF) Grief Support Meeting is being held at St. Stephen Lutheran Church (the Luke Room) at 7:00 PM. Contact TCF if attending remotely for the zoom link.

December 15, Wednesday: Capital City Bank and Tri-Eagle Sales presents December’s featured artist, Belle and the Band. There will be food and giant games at Goodwood near the historic roller rink (next to the cafe).


December 16, Thursday: Elf Night! This is the annual lights event that is held at Dorothy B. Oven Park. There will be over 250,000 lights, hot chocolate and cookies. This is a free event and begins at 5:30 PM.

December 17, Friday: Movies at the Ballpark begins at 6:00 PM. The movie being shown is Elf. It begins at 6:00 PM. Tickets are $10.00 - $125.00.

December 18, Saturday: The Fuzzy Pineapple Winter Festival and Holiday Shopping begins at 11:00 AM.

Cookies and Cocoa at LeMoyne Arts Gallery will feature a sneak peak of Young Actors Theater’s “A Very Tally Holiday,” and a performance by Hot Tamale. The event begins at 11:00 AM and tickets are $10.00.

Winter Solstice at the Tallahassee Senior Center begins at 6:00 PM. This is a formal dance with live music and dinner by Bella Bella. Tickets are $25-35+.

The Tallahassee Ballet’s The Nutcracker begins at 10:30 AM at Ruby Diamond Concert Hall. There is a live orchestra performing alongside the Ballet. There will be a second performance at 7:30 PM. Tickets start at $36 (for the matinee) and $46.

Tallahassee Network of Young Professionals (NYP)’s annual Santa Shuffle is starting at Madison Social. The “shuffle” will go through several other establishments in CollegeTown, led by the Lofty Pursuits Marching Band. A “reindeer game” will be played at each bar. Ticket sales and sponsorships will go to a charity. Tickets are $25.00-55.00, depending on level.

December 19, Sunday: The Crooked River Lighthouse in Carrabelle, Florida is hosting a Blues and BBQ Under the Full Moon event from 5:00 - 8:00 PM. The museum and gift shop will be open during this event. It is $10.00 for adults and $3.00 for children. Lighthouse climbs are reservation only (call: 850-697-2732).

The Tallahassee Ballet’s The Nutcracker is at 2:30 AM at Ruby Diamond Concert Hall. There is a live orchestra performing alongside the Ballet. Tickets start at $46.

December 22, Wednesday: There is a gift making workshop at AR Workshop Tallahassee. Any wooden project can be chosen. The cost is $39.50 and ticket holders are allowed to bring their own beer, wine, and snacks.

December 24, Friday: LeMoyne’s Art Deco the Halls ends tonight. The gallery is filled with work from over fifty local artists, available for purchase.

December 31, Friday: New Year’s Eve kicks off with the Downtown Countdown at the Capital Theatre Amphitheater. It begins at 5:00 PM and is a free event. There will be live music and two firework shows.

Andrew’s Downtown is hosting a New Year’s Eve Party with music by Soul Medicine.

RockitZ and Rachel Hillman will perform at The American Legion Hall starting at 7:00 PM and ending at 1:00 AM. Tickets begin at $30.00.

The Junction at Monroe is hosting Sauce Boss and Good Little Chickens. They open at 7:00 for dinner and drinks and the music begins at 8:00 PM. Ticekts begin at $20.00.

Blue Halo is hosting a New Year’s Eve Dinner, one at 5:30 and another at 8:30 PM. Reservations are required. Dinner is a four course meal for either $65.00 - 85.00.

January 01, Saturday: Start the New Years with a Paint and Sip Party hosted by the Fuzzy Pineapple at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $35/
