A (Mini) Midsummer Night's Dream from the Southern Shakespeare Company: Communityand Teacher Information

There are two types of productions for this show. One is partnered with Leon County School System and the other in the general public show.

Community Show

On March 26th at 11:00 AM, the Southern Shakespeare Company will perform a one-day only community performance of A (Mini) Midsummer Night’s Dream. The show is a one-hour abridgment of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. A recap by the Royal Shakespeare Company will be at the end of the page for a quick refreshment on the play.

The performance will take place at the Tallahassee Museum. Guests are asked to bring their own lawn chair and/or blanket as the performance will be shown on the Bellevue Lawn.

Tickets are $15 for general admission, $10 for students/seniors, and $5 for children (5 years and younger). Tickets may be purchased via the Southern Shakespeare Company website.

School Show

The Southern Shakespeare Company and Leon County Schools have teamed up for multiple performances of the performance of A Mini Midsummer Night’s Dream. This will be at the Goodwood Museum and Gardens.

There will be six showings of the play over three days plus a four-part digital curriculum. The performances are free for Leon County public school students. Teachers will need to register through the SSC Education Director. Information can be found on the Southern Shakespeare Companies’ website.
