Thursday, April 08:
Hot Tamale (music duo) will play a concert at LeMoyne Gallery at 125 N. Gadsden St. The concert begins at 5:00 PM. Admission is free for members and $5 for non-members.
Dr. Larry Rivers is giving a presentation about Father James Page. He is being hosted by the Tallahassee Historical Society and is a zoom meeting beginning at 7:00 PM. The program is free with registration.
Friday, April 09:
FSU’s School of Theatre is showing a presentation of Edges, beginning at 8:00 PM. The show begins on April 08 and continues until April 11. Tickets are $5 and there are some mature themes in the play.
Challenger Learning Center has a virtual chemistry event occurring at 9:00 AM. It will cost $10 for early registration and $15 for later registration.
621 Gallery is hosting readings from Mythopoeia and artist talks. The event begins at 7:00 PM, either in person or through zoom.
The One Week Boutique is occurring April 09-11. It begins at 9:00 AM and is at the Civic Center. Admission and parking are free. Early shopping does cost money.
Saturday, April 10:
The Saturday Farmer’s Markets have restarted, the link at the beginning of the page lists a few.
FSU Football Spring Game 5:00 PM at Doak Campbell Stadium. Tickets begin at $10.
The FAMU game that was scheduled during this date was canceled after MEAC opted out of Spring games due to Covid-19.
Leon County Library’s Pop-Up Book Club will meet virtually at 10:00 AM. The book selected is The Bride Test by Helen Hoang. The registration is through the Leon County Library’s zoom link.
The Spring Time Pop-Up Gallery in Havana, Florida begins at 10:00 AM and lasts until 5:00 PM. The location is at 304 N. Main Street and is for Artists Helping Artists and Havana Main Street.
Word of [South] begins at 12:00 PM at Cascades Park. Admission is free but daily tickets must be downloaded for each day (the ticket lasts for all events for one day).
Sunday, April 11:
A special Outdoor Goal Yoga benefiting the Animal Shelter Foundation begins at 9:00 AM or 3:00 PM. It is taking place at the Goat House Farm. Tickets are $40 and registration is required. The event will move dates if there is inclement weather.
Word of [South] begins at 12:30 PM at Cascades Park. Admission is free but daily tickets must be downloaded for each day (the ticket lasts for all events for one day).
FSU’s College of Music is performing their annual PRISM concert beginning at 2:00 PM. Tickets are $37 to $52. Pod seating is being used for Covid-19 safety.
Monday, April 12:
J. William Hill has an exhibition at Gadsden Art Center and Museum during the month of April and May. Tickets are $5 for non-members and CDC Covid-19 rules are enforced.
Gentle Chair Yoga at Goodwood Museum is a free virtual event that begins at 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
Tuesday, April 13:
“Common Ground” featuring artworks by Annie S. Harris is showing at the City Hall Galleries (300 Adam Street). The show is a continuing event, beginning in February but ending on April 26, 2021. Coca has a digital gallery as well.
FSU’s Wind Ensemble presents a virtual concert beginning at 7:30 PM.
Wednesday, April 14:
Tallahassee Film Society is showcasing Gustav Stickley: American Craftsman about the American Arts and Crafts movement. Digital rentals are $10.
Thursday, April 15:
The Grove Museum’s Virtual Walk will occur from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The Grove Museum's Executive Director John Grandage will conduct a virtual tour of the grounds focusing on local ecology, natural and cultural history, and environmental sustainability. There will be a discussion about plant species diversity and check-in on birds nesting around the property. Since the tour is live, viewers are encouraged to ask questions.
The Florida Historic Capitol Museum is hosting a trivia night from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The event is free (donations are suggested) and virtual, registration is required.
Friday, April 16:
Challenger Learning Center has an event at the CLC dealing with chemistry. Tickets are $10 for early registration and $15 for later registration. Masks and CDC guidelines must be followed.
Katie Skene is performing at Bradfordville Blues Club at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. All performances at Bradfordville Blues Club will be held outdoors for safety reasons.
Saturday, April 17:

Theatre TCC’s showcase I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change begins its last performance this weekend. The previous performances are slated for the weekend before. The show begins at 8:00 PM with tickets at $10. There is also a video on demand option for those who wish it.
LeMoyne Arts’ Chain of Parks Arts Festival will go on all month long, but the market event will happen April 17-18. It begins at 10:00 AM.
The Tallahassee Museum is hosting an Introduction to Blacksmithing workshop. Tickets are $65 for members and $70 for non-members. Participants will work alongside master blacksmiths to create their own objects to take home. Registration required, closed by April 14th at 12:00 PM.
Sunday, April 18:
LeMoyne Arts’ Chain of Parks Arts Festival will go on all month long, but the market event will happen April 17-18. It begins at 10:00 AM. Tickets are required for admittance due to Covid-19 measures. Admission is free.
Thursday, April 22:
Karl Zerbe, the world-renowned expressionist artist, has several art pieces at LeMoyne Arts. The long exhibition begins April 08 (opening exhibition) and ends May 08. The hours are normally 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The Lemoyne Arts building is located at 125 N. Gadsden Street and tickets are free for members and $5 for non-members.
Tallahassee Museum’s Mixology Event features Dr. Bill Landing who will discuss natural and anthropogenic (human society) causes of climate change and ocean acidification and its potential impacts on Florida and the rest of the world. This is a free event, but registration is requested. It begins at 6:00 PM.
Friday, April 23:
Thomasville’s Centennial Rose Show and Festival beginning 10:00 AM on April 22 and ending April 24. There will be flowers, food, an artisan market, and an antique car show.

Tallahassee Museum’s Night Crawl will begin at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $10 for members and $13 for non-members. Tickets MUST be purchased by April 21.
Wednesday, April 28:
Art Therapy + Cat Therapy at Fat Cat Cafe (2901 E. Park Ave. #2600), featuring the artwork of Diane Dyal. Hours are 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM with a limited number of people in the room at all times. This event runs all of April on limited dates.
Thursday, April 29:
Blues Jam at Dreamland BBQ happens every Thursday of the year. It begins at 6:00 PM on the patio. This is an open jam session (you must bring your own instrument and mic). CDC Covid-19 guidelines must be followed.
Saturday, May 01:

Leon County’s Library Teen Book Club, starting at 2:30 PM. The book for discussion is Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld. Zoom registration and link can be found at the Leroy Collins Library’s zoom link.
Tallahassee’s Battle Lions, the minor league soccer team will be playing Jacksonville’s Armada at 11:00 AM. The game will be played by the Gene Cox stadium (601 Paul Russell Rd). Tickets are $7 for general admission.
Quincy’s 8th Annual Portchfest and Sketchcrawl begin at 1:00 PM. Concerts will occur on porches while artists will set up on the lawns. Admission is free.
