HIGHLIGHTS
Friday, August 30: Apollo 11: First Steps is playing at 11:00 AM at the IMAX theater.
There is an evening reception for the Museum of Fine Arts (MoFA) from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The exhibit is “Identity in the Ottoman Empire.” Entry is free.
The Honey Hounds will be performing at Fifth and Thomas. Doors open at 7:00 PM and music starts at 9:00 PM. There is no cover but 21+ only.
Saturday, August 31:
The Downtown Marketplace is occurring from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The Frenchtown Heritage Market is from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Tallahassee Farmer’s Market has a new location (Thomasville Road and Kerry Forest Parkway from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Grivo, Doorsmasher, Feedlot, and Leunon are playing at The Bark. The cost is $0 to $5+. Doors open at 8:30 PM and music starts at 9:00 PM.
Sunday, September 01: Paw Patrol Live is performing at the Civic Center from Saturday to Sunday. Prices range from around $20 to $100.
The Museum of Florida History has a new exhibit about Alligators. The exhibit runs until September 07. The hours on Sunday are 12:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Other days have different hours.
The next week, September 02-05
Tuesday, September 03: September is free replacement library card month (also new signups) at all branch locations. Library card information is on the Leon County Public Library website.
Thursday, September 05: Food Truck Thursday at Lake Ella is happening from 5:30 to 8:30 PM. The musical guest is Swingin’ Harpoon, who will take the stage at 6:30 PM. Well behaved dogs on leads are allowed.
Mystery Night at the Museum: Mystery on the Hiawatha is happening at the Museum of Florida History from 6:00 PM to 8:30PM. This is a free event.
***JJ Grey & Mofro are performing Friday, September 06 at Capital City Amphitheater. Tickets are needed for this event ($30-45).
